The Centre of Andalusian Studies, a public foundation attached to the Ministry of the Presidency, Public Administration and Interior of the Regional Government of Andalusia (Decree 2/2019 of 21 January) is a scientific and cultural non-profit organisation whose fundamental objectives are the promotion of scientific research and the generation of knowledge on the social, economic and cultural reality of Andalusia in order to contribute positively to the decision-making process of public and private institutions that influence the social, political, economic and cultural development of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia.
In order to achieve these objectives, the Foundation develops an annual opened Action Plan to the scientific and specialised community and to society in general, which includes long-standing initiatives like: the Public Call for Research Projects; the Doctoral Thesis Prizes; the Survey of the Social Reality in Andalusia; the programme of Specialisation Courses; the organisation of exhibitions and the publication of papers in the journals like ‘Andalusia in History’.
